easy twist on, twist off. Be careful of water spurting out when trying to flush out the first 1.5 gallon as recommended.

The MWF filter did replace the GWF filter of my older refrigerator. It seems to work well and I DID NOT need to buy a new adapter. Who knows, your refrigerator may be different, but the MWF filter does replace my GWF filter no problems.

Please note that I had to REMOVE the adapter (you may need to use a wrench if your hands do not produce enough torque alone) connected to the old GWF (or MWF) filter that was to be discarded and place the adapter on the new filter. If you accidently throw away the adapter or need it, you can buy it. Search for GWFadapter on Amazon and you will find it.

I think that there is another listing for a 3pack that is a much better deal. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000AST3AK/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance

Worked perfectly as described… and saved a few dollars! My wife believes I’m now a genius, when all we needed was to replace a filter, at a great price!
