Clumsy non insulated and difficult to open. If you like to dribble on yourself then buy this bottle. The lid made for it with a flip top is bunk. I returned these. The suck. they are also really expensive.

I’ve been on a quest to find the best water bottle for awhile. I’ve searched endlessly on the internet, and I’ve now found the perfect bottle. Seems like a stupid thing to get excited about, but I’m thoroughly happy with this bottle. I’ve owned many, many water bottles, but they all come up short to the Innate bottle. First the bottle had to be stainless, I also wanted something bigger than average. I empty a 26 oz bottle way too fast. Also I had to be able to drink in big gulps, not little tiny sips like the sport top stainless bottles allow. For that you need the Innate Flow Controller which allows you to drink a lot without pouring it all over yourself. Another feature is that its silent. There’s no squeaky air release here. Just unscrew and pour as much refreshing liquid down the gullet as you want without noise or mess. The first one is staying at work, I’m a massage therapist, and now I need to get a couple more for home, travel etc.

This is a very well designed product. The manufacturer seems well attuned to practical design details and material choices in view of health concerns. In this case, as far as I can see, they have thought of every possible detail for a perfect bottle.

-Large enough (40oz) to fit 5 cups of liquid.

-Very wide opening (which was my main selling point). Few manufacturers have this feature. It makes for easy cleaning while the diameter and threads of the neck are designed to also fit bottle adaptors for many water filters.

-Food grade 304, 18/8 stainless steel body with no inner coatings. The bottle overall is quite light and about 9.5 inches tall (quite compact for the amount of liquid it can hold).

-The redesigned collar of the V2 version feels smoother while threading/unthreading the lid (compared to the older version)

So, make sure you opt for this newer version of the bottle. The older version (as I have seen them in some outdoors sports outlets) used to have a plastic collar that formed a lip over the metal, but the inside of the lip was not flush and could collect some foreign matter; harder to clean. However this is no longer an issue; the new collar is now seamlessly flush.

Also, I recommend the “Innate Flip Top Lid”. It is interchangeable with the built-in lid and very practical for sports (drinking straight from the lid without having to unscrew it)

As far as I can tell, this bottle has no design flaws. I am very happy and wholeheartedly recommend it !
