The water here in New York is some of the best tap water in the country, so it’s hard to tell if a water filter like this one is really working or not.

But the little guy fit and went in to my coffee machine no problem. If you want a filter for a Capresso coffee machine, this is the one! Probably! Unless you have a different model than I do!

I don’t live in an area with particularly hard water, but the filters don’t seem to handle regular water that well either. It works, but after a few months (with regular filter changes) the Capresso will build up sediment and end up dripping coffee instead of gushing.

Don’t really have a reference of how effective these filters are, Their use is supposed to eliminate the need for decalcification and to that extent I haven’t needed to do that in the year and a half we’ve had our Jura and it still runs like a champ. We due use filtered water (PUR) for all our coffee making though.

I’ve had my Impressa F8 for about a year and a half with 2300 cups made so far. No problems with calcium build up – these filters do what they’re supposed to do. I know the coffee maker itself is expensive, so I probably shouldn’t complain about the price of the filters, but c’mon…these are overpriced – even when on sale.

This is an non-optional water filter from Jura for many of its

    coffee makers.
