Sigg Classic Bottle – Wide Mouth
This is a nice bottle, I guess, but it doesn’t keep anything cold for long and it sweats terribly. I wouldn’t get it again but I use it.

My only complaint with the bottle I ordered is that the one that says red is really more fuschia. My husband is using it but he left the tag on the bottom to prove it is supposed to be red .
The size is perfect. The double opening is a great idea. You can easily add ice and do a thorough cleaning job through the large opening. (note it will get really cold to the touch and sweat if you add ice!) The regular opening still fits all the sport tops that we use from all the other Sigg bottles we own. I may get one of these for myself!!

it leaked all the time for me. I’m not sure if I was unlucky with the seals for both caps, but they will both leak if the bottle is on its side, or even if it is filled close to the top.
Having been an owner of many, many Nalgenes, and now a Klean Kanteen (which replaced this bottle)..ive never had any problems with water leaking, even under extreme conditions.
Also, and most importantly…whatever the liner material is on this bottle has shown signs of cracking/splitting. No chance using this bottle again…I dont want any weird chemicals from the “BPA-free proprietary lining” in my body. I’ve only had this bottle for less than 3 months too, so this is highly surprising.
Final words: I should have known a bottle with added functionality has an extra chance to fail. Give me something with a widemouth/screw top lid that doesnt leak, and I’m happy. If you’re in the market for a wide-mouth water bottle, as I was, I would recommend checking out the Klean Kanteen 18/8 stainless bottles.

Where has this bottle been all my life? I enjoy the wide mouth, the great hand feel, the large size for holding enough liquid that satisfies even my serious thirsty habit. I got the Black one so I could be stylish and stealthy.. The smaller mouth opening is great for drinking on the go. I use an cut off knit sleeve to keep liquids colder.

the plastic screw top that screws onto the plastic widemouth top can only be tightend so far. If you pass the threshold it will keep spinning and water can leak. You have to stop at a certain point.
