This filter works better for me than any I have bought (my total is up to 3 at the moment) and the package deal with the filters really made the sale having 6 months minimum of filters with the unit out of the box is a great idea. Then when I had time to throughly read the packaging, I discovered that they do indeed filter out some toxic materials, but then they proceed to filter the chemical FLOURIDE INTO the drinking water and into your glass. In essence they are just exchanging one toxic chemical for another. From my research, flouride is as toxic as the chemicals they are removing.
