I have had my bottle for a week now and I am not really impressed. I really don’t think it is double insulated. It does condensate alot and gets your bag or table wet. It does’nt come with a strap so I had to carry it in my bag. The metal is already getting scratched up but the design has held on so far. I must say it is cute. I would only buy this if I wanted people to know I was an enviromentalist, because as far as athletics go, it has’nt held up very well. I went on a 5 mile walk this morning and by the end of the walk my water was warm. I guess I will have to add alot more ice next time.
Update: I had to return the bottle it started rusting inside. Oh well.

I thought this bottle looked nice & did not seem to leak, but that was about it for the positives.
First, I found the bottle hard to drink from. I realized it came with a unique “Big Bite Valve” and there would be some sucking involved, but it was more like sucking a frozen milkshake than water through a straw. For me this got annoying rather quickly.
I also was not happy with the insulation and am skeptical if it is really vacuum-sealed or double-walled as their site suggests. It sure seemed like a lightweight thin single-walled steel bottle to me but it most definately didn’t keep my water cold for 10-12 hours as their site claims. I would say my water was merely cool after an hour and room tempreature by two.
Finally, I would have to say I think Camelbak is overpriced. There are a lot of other good quality bottles available for $10-15 or less. It seems they are charging at least an extra $10 for their patented little valve. If you’re after leak-proof, enjoy the constant sucking & don’t mind paying extra, then hey this might be for you! Otherwise, I would look at one of the bigger, cheaper, and/or better-insulated bottles out there.

I was a previous user of the Nalgene type plastic water bottles. I was looking at a bunch of different stainless steel bottle’s and finally had it narrowed down to this one and the Klean Kanteen. The .75 liter Kanteen bottle was too tall, this one had the perfect size. I was skeptical in the beginning at the bite valve for drinking but now I love it. Keep in mind that unlike the Klean Kanteen this bottle cannot be heated up, incase you want to carry some hot water with you. I bought this just to use in my office for cold water with ice, so that wasn’t an issue for me.
The bottle by itself does sweat when you have ice cold water. I was debating whether to get the insulated botle which holds only .5 liters but I like having the extra amount of water and instead opted to get the insulator cover for it. With the cover this bottle does an awesome job keeping the water cold for several hours and the cover takes care of the sweat problem.
Water tastes very clean and crisp and I’m very glad I purchased this. If you are planning on using this bottle for ice cold water then I would recommend purchasing the Camelbak insulator cover for it as well.

We thought this was the double walled Camelbak that doesn’t sweat. It sweats. We bought one version of a camelbak that has a camelbak logo in light black that doesn’t sweat. Still a good bottle but would be a five star if it didn’t sweat.

I also have a plastic camelbak “better bottle” and I love them both. The stainless steel doesn’t change the taste of the water one bit, and this design is really awesome! It’s completely spill-proof. It’s not insulated, so it doesn’t keep liquids cold, but I would say that it does keep them cooler than the plastic one did.
