I regularly use my BPA-free bottles (Nalgene and Camelbak) for making tea at work. The loop-top cap that came with the wide-mouth Nalgenes would stretch with the heat and if you held the bottle by the loop, it would sometimes slip off the bottle (the loop, not the cap — if this makes sense). This lid fits both bottles, and doesn’t expand with heat, so you can grab it by the loop and go.
