I proudly used my Klean Kanteen for the first time and found it leaked all over the papers in my bag. That was bad but I thought the malfunction was my fault and the next time I used the Kean Kanteen I consciously screwed the cap on tight and carried the container away from my papers. Didn’t matter. The cap still leaked, though this time it only caused a mess to my hands as I carried it. A real disappointment. Otherwise fine. But a bit otherwise. Maybe the lid I have is defective….

The bottle and loop cap are fine, but the optional cafe cap that would allow you to drink your beverage without unscrewing a tight cap with each sip is useless. Not only does it leak from the mouth opening, but leaks from the seal as well. Tilting the bottle at a normal angle to sip causes the liquid to run down your arm and drip on your shirt. So if you’re only using the loop cap, the bottle is fine, albeit inconvenient for sipping, but if you’re using this for a long drive or at the office, the cafe cap will ruin your shirts.

I just know that this bottle will come out in different colors now that I have the silver one. I’d rather have another color, but at this price, I’ll have to settle for what I’ve got. It works great for me. I only use it for cold liquids and I put a straw through the hole in the cafe cap when I’m driving. I would have given it five stars if it was available in other colors.

I bought this thermos for my boyfriend who works in the outdoors often hoping he could take a hot beverage to work with him. I was right because this bottle keeps his tea/coffee tongue-burning hot (if the lid is kept on) for 4 hours…not kidding. Also, we realized after I gifted it to him that you can purchase different lid types from Klean Kanteen (a loop lid to clip to your bag and avoid spills or also a travel mug lid with an opening on top). Great bottle, good for the environment, good for you!

I’m having problems with the kanteen leaking, the seal doesn’t work properly. Not sure if all are like this, or if I received a defective one.
