Outdoor Products 1 Litre Frosted Tritan BPA-Free Water Bottle

we are your typical sports family. Someone has a practice or a game almost every day. we have several of these bottle in the fridge all the time. With the large mouth you can put anything you want in these things. They fit in the coolers easily. They also spend a fair amount of time in sports bags. the lids screw down very tight.
They can also take tremendous amount of abuse as Maggie our dog proved. We found one in the bushes she apparently got a hold of and had been chewing on it. It was a little out of round but she didn’t get here teeth through it.
The price is also very attractive especially if you do not have a concern for color. I have found them on the clearance shelf for $4.00. On camping trips we fill them with water and freeze them before we leave. They then go in the boxes with the stuff that can’t get wet but needs to be kept cool.

Best bottle, got a nice grip, nice look, and BPA free. I love the cap because it is normal looking without all the fancy built-in straw mechanism that is very hard to clean. It’s simple and practical.

This bottle is great:
- the texture is grippy and easy to hold
- the gentle curving sides make is easy to carry in hand or under arm
- the wide mouth makes for easy cleaning
- includes a hard plastic clear/transparent splash guard
- the splash guard won’t drop into the bottle during normal use making it better than any other
- its now BPA free
When pared with the Firefly from Guyot Designs it becomes an awesome lantern — it’s like they were made for each other! The clear splash guard lets the light diffuse into the bottle and the frosted plastic makes for a gentle light — not too bright and very useful. I use the Firefly light with this bottle to help me see on nighttime walks and to make me more visible to cars and other hikers. Metal water bottles don’t compare.

I like to have a water bottle held to my Kayak by one of the elastic deck cords in front of me; that way I don’t have to undo skirt or hatches if I want a drink & it is easier to stay hydrated. This Outdoor Products water bottle (formerly called the “Cyclone”, now apparently the “Triton”) is perfect for kayak decks because of its slightly wasp-waisted shape, which keeps it from sliding out from under the cord. I used to use a bike bottle which also had an indentation around its middle, but found it not quite as good for me because of the mouthpiece. I was paddling in some murky water and splashed scum onto the bottle’s and mouthpiece; I suppose I’ve had worse things in my mouth, but not by choice. With a water bottle like this one, the drinking portion is better protected, and unlike bikers, even novice kayakers have no trouble using both hands to get a drink.
