This filter improves the taste of hard water, and eliminates larger particles which can clog lines. The small hose which comes with the unit is very short, but can be used if a ground mounted holding bracket is not used, and the filter is allowed to hang from the hose. Otherwise, a longer lenth of hose would need to be purchased.

I looked at quite a few filtering systems for my travel trailer and found the Culligan RV-10 to be in affordable price range and great protection abilities for Our fresh water system with out tasting like a swimming pool. The Culligan RV-10 is a non cellulose carbon filter, it provides resistance to bacteria attack & biofilm buildup along with sediment filtration. if for any reason the campground has treated it’s water supply with chlorine this filter will greatly reduce the chlorine taste. I have an adapter (purchased from Camping World) that allows me to hang this filter on the outside of my trailer and filter the water before it enters my trailer. I have used this filter for almost a year and it’s now time to change the cartridge…roughly 20 dollars cheap insurance
